Divine Baby Squishiness

Such divine baby squishiness cannot be contained – it has to be shared! Remember this beautiful couple from a few weeks ago? Their gorgeous baby boy was born on 7th August in the early hours of the morning, weighing in at about 4.6 kg! I had the pleasure of photographing him and the family when he was 9 days old.

What a delight! Poor little man was definitely not used to being picked up and posed and prodded into position, but he did so well and lasted for a few hours with some feeds and cuddles in between. What a little trooper! Huge kudos to his mum and dad too. A photography session lasting a few hours is challenging when one is coping on limited amounts of sleep! Here’s hoping the little baby Donovan starts sleeping through night soon! It was a different session (and perhaps longer than usual) because we had decided on posed baby shots as well as some lifestyle shots. Some of these really tug on the heartstrings – so much emotion when one thinks about the huge milestone we reach when we become parents. Such a blessing and I’m so, so privileged to have been part of capturing this journey for Courtney and Shane. <3
