Mini-mini family shoot

I call it a mini-mini family shoot because the weather was NOT playing along and our hopes to have an extended family session were dashed with reports of foul, rainy weather all week and weekend. Sam and Nathan had the grandparents down for a visit and it was really the only weekend we had for a family session. Nathan’s dad not being well and with them having put off family photography for a while, Sam finally put the proverbial foot down and booked the session. Then the rain. But this session needed to happen, come…well, rain and high water! We found a closer location and went out in the pouring rain, sheltering at the toilet blocks while the downpour eased. And then, as the shower lessened, we headed to a good spot and got a few shots, taking advantage while the weather held. Little Master M wasn’t too thrilled to pose for any photos to begin with, but settled down as the session continued. We were pleased to get a few good shots with the whole family:

Cute cuddles! <3

Even though the session happened rather unexpectedly, in a totally new location and time, I was pleased we got some extended family shots. Sam and Nathan will be having their own family session in a few weeks, so stay tuned for those!

If you’re keen to capture your own family memories and (like me) you’re always the one behind the camera, consider booking for a family session with me – even if it’s a mini-mini family shoot :) Simply contact me via Facebook or my contact page. Remember, a good life is one full of good memories. Moments we can’t often put into words, where our pictures tell the story.

Have a happy week! ~ Gill
