About your session

February 3, 2009

Your portrait session will be conducted in the comfort of your home or at an outdoor location we choose. It will typically last 1-2 hours (although my sessions sometimes go on a bit longer if necessary). I prefer to shoot with natural available light, so the time of day must be taken into account. Morning or early evening hours work best, but this is flexible, depending on the type of shoot. Should inclement weather postpone an outdoor shoot, I will reschedule as quickly as possible. I try to make the session relaxed and fun and love catching candids and interactions between the various family members. Attention spans of little ones are short, so a break or snack might be required to keep the little ones happy and to capture those awesome shots.

What to Wear
When choosing clothing for your session, simple is best. Solid polo or tee shirts with jeans or shorts are nice for boys and simple dresses are always cute on little girls. Try to avoid busy patterns, graphics or logos, but bright colors and hats are lots of fun. For groups, colors that complement each other, but aren’t necessarily the same, work well. Newborns and babies photograph beautifully in bare skin. Contact me if you have any questions about clothing choices and feel free to bring along a few different outfits for changes during the session.

If you would like to book a maternity/newborn session, contact me between 32-36 weeks.  Newborn sessions are best done within the first 2 weeks after the birth, as newborn babies are still very sleepy and relaxed at this stage, which makes for great shots!

If you require more information, please email me or use the contact form HERE and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Please note prices and packages are subject to change without notice. Session fees are non-refundable.

I hope you enjoy browsing my site!
